- Indian Radio airs that as a protest the people set fire on some shops and houses after a demonstration against an Indian Airplane blast done by two hijackers in Lahore.
- In a newspaper statement, Professor Mozaffar Ahmed, president of the East Pakistan National Awami Party and Syed Altaf Hossain, the general secretary requests the president to call a national assembly immediately. In the briefing, they state that an extremely reactionary and communal group is trying to delay the session of National Assembly and the power handover to the elected representatives by creating an agitation centering on the incident of Indian plane hijack and demolition at Lahore Airport.
- Mr. Henrique Bear, the secretary general of Geneva’s League of Red Cross Society comes to East Pakistan on a three-day visit. While in Dacca, he has discussions with Justice B.A. Siddiqi and Justice Nurul Islam. He attends a meeting with the managing committee members of East Pakistan Red Cross Society. Relief activities of Red Cross in cyclone affected areas of East Pakistan and roles of Red Cross in future development projects were discussed in the meeting.
- President Yahya Khan informs Sir Shivsagar Ramgolam, prime minister of Mauritius, of the present relation between India and Pakistan and expresses his hope about equitable solutions to all crises and discords between these two neighboring countries. These two leaders put weight on the implementation of proposals of the United Nations in order to reduce international pressure and establish long-standing peace.
- South Vietnamese Military and South Vietnamese paratroopers by American helicopters enter Laos in the morning. South Vietnamese president Theu commands his force to attack the North Vietnamese outposts in Laos. The American high command confirms that the United States of America will support and help this raid with aircrafts, but any member or adviser of American Military will not be involved in the matter.
